PB&J Homeschool Group!
Are you homeschooling and looking for more ways to socialize, explore different subjects, and enjoy extracurricular activities?
If you are looking for an engaging and community based homeschool group we encourage you to join us.
Here, we learn through hands on activity.
Kids are encouraged to be themselves, embrace their natural curiosity, and have fun while learning.
Ages 6 and up!
PB&J co-op currently has openings for families with kids ages 6 and up. If interested in joining us, please sign up for our waitlist.
Our Co-Op Group
It is NOT a full schooling curriculum for your children and is meant to supplement what you’re already doing at home.
This is NOT a drop-off co-op, a parent/guardian must attend for the entire session each Thursday from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm.
Using creative techniques led by other devoted PB&J parents like yourself, your 6 to 15-year-old will join age-appropriate groups and be led through various fun projects and challenges each week, building confidence and strong friendships as they go.
It’s a community for you, too!
The Peanut Butter and Jelly Co-Op curriculum focuses on the following values:
Community
The co-op provides learning and friendship opportunities for both students and parents through weekly classes and field trips.
Teamwork
When completing activities students are encouraged to work together to accomplish tasks. Parents also work together to build cirriculum and develop projects.

Field Trip Opportunities
To showcase PB&J’s dedication to hands-on learning, we organize tons of field trips each semester. PB&J organizes optional field trips as part of the co-op group as a service to our member families (additional venue fees may occur). We visit the most exciting places in and around the Kentuckiana region.
For the safety of everyone in our group, future field trips and dates are not listed on this site. You’re free to pick and choose which field trips you’d like to participate in with your kids!

About Us
We created PB&J out of a need that was unfilled for our own children. Louisville doesn’t have many options for homeschooling communities, so we created our own organization and have formed it into something we’re very proud of!
- From our field trip group to weekly co-op sessions, our members appreciate how we enrich their lives and foster a strong sense of community.
- We value inclusivity, non-discrimination, and community building.
- We carefully select the families in our groups to ensure a safe environment for your children. You can trust that every family is thoroughly vetted before joining our community.
- You’ll meet our founder, Jessica. She has a passion for learning, books, and coffee, and makes sure that every family is getting what they need from the programs they are enrolled in. You can read more about her HERE.

Frequently Asked Question
Do you have more questions about our homeschooling co-op and field trip group? Consider the answers to the following common questions.
What Is a Homeschool Co-Op?
What’s The Difference Between the Co-Op Group and the Field Trip Group?
The co-op is a closed group that meets weekly from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm. At least 1 parent/guardian must remain on-site with the child at all times, and we encourage parents to actively participate and get involved each week.
The Field Trip Group requires less commitment and is a more open group where families around the community can join us for various fun activities as you please. You may pick and choose which events you join us for, and do not have to be enrolled in the co-op to attend.
Where Do You Go on Field Trips?
Peanut Butter and Jelly Homeschool has offered a wide range of field trips, including Louisville Water Tower Park, the Circus, Nerf Wars, Jefferson Memorial Forest-Archery, Newton's Attic, the KY Railway Museum, and so much more.
We are always on the lookout for new adventures and opportunities, constantly planning new trips all year round. Feel free to join our group and suggest where our next destination should be!
